Please join me in prayer for the work among the Kabiye. I will be posting requests for supplication here on a regular basis. I hope you visit this page often and that it helps you in your time of prayer for the Kabiye believers. Through this medium I also hope for you to get to know the churches and Christians with whom you share the greatest blessing of all. Thank you!
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18

the church in Kaacade and Eyabene is currently the only male leader in the Kaacade church. The Kaacade church currently has 15 faithful members and continues to show a desire for following Christ. From the beginning Eyabene h
as been the encourager, teacher and leader for this fledgling church movement. Recently he has been accompanying me on my weekly visit to the church in Tchefengda. Eyabene was instrumental in the planting of this church and was born in Tchefengda. He very clearly carries influence in this village and is highly respected. Eyabene’s heart is fully dedicated to God and when he speaks he speaks with passion and boldness. Please pray regularly for this wonderful family. God is using them and will continue to use them in the planting of his Kingdom in Kabiye land.
Church Update 10/17/2007
Legue Legue Yesu Cecewiye
The Legue Legue family of Jesus began in 2002 with an initial number 0f 38 people coming to Christ. Matt Miller and myself spent much time teaching them the Good News and continuing to teach these young Christian over the past few years has been a blessing at the same time has been frustrating. Soon after the initial baptisms the number of faithful believers fell from 38 down to 15-20 and then interest seemed to disappear completely. In the very beginning of our
planning for evangelism, we had decided that we would not be missionaries who “propped up” dying churches. To be the prop that helped a dying church continue would only mean that when the prop left the church would die because they were never dependent on Christ alone in the first place. So at the end of 2005 we discontinued our visits to Legue Legue hoping that God would continue to work on the hearts of people there and maybe one day faithful followers would arise. Near the end of 2006, while visiting the church in Po Wayi (only about 15-20 km from Legue Legue), Matt Miller ran into one of the Christian ladies. Her name was Koujouka and she wanted to know why we have stopped coming. Matt explained about the absence of dedication and the fact that no one was coming to the Bible studies and she understood. However, she went on to explain that there was a small group that had been meeting for some time now every Sunday morning and they needed teaching. So, with a little reluctance and yet excitement also, we began teaching again in Legue Legue. Numerical growth is still not taking place, but there is
a core group of believers (8-10 adults) whose faith is growing and our prayer is that this mustard seed of faith can be used by God to cause the beginning of a powerful movement in Legue Legue. Right now I am teaching through a series on the Kingdom of God and how Christians are to live in that Kingdom. Please be
praying for this church. Pray that the truths of God and his Word will sink deep into their hearts and will one day at a time bring fruits of change in their lives and in the lives of those they come in contact with. Especially pray for Celeste. He is the chief of the village and is a Christian. Pray for him to have boldness and confidence in God. Also pray for Mansima and
Koujouka. Mansima is a young man who has shown excitement for his relationship with God and a passion for others to know God as well. Koujouka is the only Christian lady who is showing a real deep desire for learning about and serving God. She will be needed to reach out to the other women in this village. God is working and we are seeking to patiently wait for him to do something extraordinary in Legue Legue.

Believing in Tchefengda
I want to ask you to be in prayer for three young men who gave their lives to Jesus in the Tchefengda church. Their names are (left to right in the picture) Essosolim, N’GNAMA, Pasanam, N’GNAMA and Olivier, TCHAGOMA. These are baby Christians who need to know that you are praying for them. If you will commit to pray for them personally
please let me know so that I can pass that on to them. Also, if you want to send a short message of encouragement I will be happy to print it and translate it for them. Your involvement in their lives is crucial as they need God’s family to stand by them. Thanks so much for your part in the Gospel!
Tchefengda Update 10/28/2007
A quick update concerning the church in Tchefengda. Currently there are a 2-4 more young men who are interested in becoming followers of Jesus Christ. This past Saturday, it was clear that the Spirit is working in their hearts but I sensed a small amount of hesitation. Please pray this week for those in Tchefengda who wish to become Christians. Pray that Satan will not block their path or discourage them in any way and that this coming Saturday they will enter into the Kingdom of God.
